Small red spot / scar on penis. Not sure what it is.

After masturbating about a week ago, I noticed a small scab rub off on an area on the shaft of my penis. Upon closer inspection, there was a spot that looked a bit red. It is not raised and it is not itchy. I did have sex with someone who does "get around" recently, but used a condom for protection. However, I freaked out and went to the doctors for an inspection. The doctor told me it was not characteristic of herpes or genital warts, that it could just possibly be an irritation that has occurred. Regardless, I wanted to see what the rest of you folks thought it might be. I have attached a picture so you can take a look.

I would trust the doctors opinion. That area is very sensitive and can become unbalanced easily. Masterbation too hard can cause bumps and peeling. Did he do a battery test on you?

I will get my tests back this week and update. I have previously tested positive for HSV-2, however I never had an outbreak and the doctor advised me that they are generally painful. In addition, I take daily suppressive Valtrex to prevent the possibility of sharing it. However, I didn't even notice this spot until I saw a small scab flake off. I would not be upset if it were an outbreak, I just don't know how to diagnose this particular spot considering it does not have the "normal" characteristics of either HSV-2 or HPV. Thanks for your response though. I will update like I said as soon as my results are back. Unfortunately, they did not biopsy the spot in general, so if it doesn't correspond to any of the standard STDs that are tested, I will still be in the dark.

Tests came back all negative except for HSV-2 again. However, this time my levels for IgG were extremely high. I think positive for the test is > 3 and my level was 20 this time. It is possible that an outbreak began and that the Valtrex helped to heal the sore before it even became a problem. I plan on posting a follow up picture once the scar has healed completely. It already looks like it is doing a bit better from when I initially posted.
