Job Description:

The Nigerian Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research (NIOMR) is seeking to recruit suitably qualified candidates to fill various vacant positions in the institute. The positions include:

1. Research Fellow
2. Senior Research Fellow
3. Principal Research Fellow
4. Senior Principal Research Fellow

Job Requirements:

1. Research Fellow: A minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
2. Senior Research Fellow: A minimum of a Ph.D. in a relevant field with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience.
3. Principal Research Fellow: A minimum of a Ph.D. in a relevant field with at least 9 years of post-qualification experience.
4. Senior Principal Research Fellow: A minimum of a Ph.D. in a relevant field with at least 12 years of post-qualification experience.
5. You Must Be A Citizen Of Nigeria
6. Knowing how to use a computer will give you an advantage.
7. You must possess a letter of release or exemption from NYSC.
8. The age limit for people with a high school diploma is 18 to 22; the age limit is 18 to 26 for those with higher education qualifications, such as nurses, NCEs, ONDs, and drivers.
9. Every candidate must provide their O’level (WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB) results. Credit in mathematics and English is necessary.
10. All applicants must be free of contagious illnesses, stutters, mental health issues, eye or hearing impairments, and physical disabilities. It’s necessary to be mentally and physically fit. There won’t be any ink or tattoos on the body.
11. For first-degree holders, a minimum of Second Class Upper Division is required, and for HND holders, a minimum of Upper Credit.
